Dr. Sean Wharton

Dr. Sean Wharton
MD, FRCPC, PharmD
Dr. Wharton has his doctorate in Pharmacy and Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is the medical director of the Wharton Medical Clinic, a community based internal medicine weight management and diabetes clinic. He is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto and adjunct professor at McMaster University in Hamilton and York University in Toronto. He is the lead authour of the 2020 Canadian Obesity Guidelines and has published many peer-reviewed articles in international medical journals.
Dr. Wharton is involved in activism to achieve health equity in Canada. He founded the BMSA (Black Medical Students Association) at the University of Toronto in 2000. The BMSA is now a recognized mentorship organization across Canada.

Stacey Ann Berry is the president and founder of Bstellar® Group Inc., a government relations and professional development firm. She is also a fractional executive for LAUFT, an innovative workspace company. As a public policy professional, Stacey provides thought leadership on the societal impacts of technology innovation with an emphasis on safeguarding human rights. She created AI Governance, Policy and The Public Good, a digital course for Udacity, which provides a governance focused framework for how AI can benefit society, respect human values, and promote fairness.” She is an AI Policy Research Member with the Centre for AI and Digital Policy.
Stacey has a graduate degree in Public Policy Administration and Law, and an Honours BA in History and Law and Society from York University. She also has a diploma in Court and Tribunal Administration and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Seneca Polytechnic.
Stacey is the recipient of numerous awards for her contributions to the community, such as, the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women and Canada’s 100 Black Women to Watch. She was recognized as the top “150 Neighbors and Community Builders” by University of Toronto Scarborough, a recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Student Experience Award by York University and the G. Raymond Chang Outstanding Volunteer Award from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Sharon Auma Ebanyat

Sharon is a Research Director for the Healthcare Industry at Info-Tech Research Group, where she leads healthcare IT research initiatives and provides strategic advisory to global healthcare CIOs and Executive IT business leaders. She specializes in translating complex industry trends such as AI, digital health, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity, into actionable insights and frameworks that drive measurable outcomes across health systems and payer organizations.
Sharon has over 12 years of experience in healthcare operations and digital transformation. Her expertise spans EMR implementations, virtual care, vendor and RFP management, revenue cycle optimization, and clinical service line redesign. She has a proven track record in helping healthcare organizations streamline operations, enhance patient experience, and improve performance across the continuum of care. Prior to her current role, Sharon held consulting roles at Deloitte Canada and Mercer Canada, Prior where she specialized in clinical transformation, digital health innovation and digital health product development for hospitals, insurers, and employer health benefit providers.
She has extensive leadership experience from major U.S. academic health centers, including the Cleveland Clinic and MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where she led operations and drove service line optimization across multiple clinical departments, such as women and infant’s services, neurosciences (neurology/Stroke, neurosurgery, neuro-diagnostics), gastroenterology and bariatric Surgery.
Sharon holds a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Health Administration & Policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). As a trusted advisor, she continues to shape healthcare delivery through evidence-based IT research, collaborative workshops, and thought leadership on emerging technologies.
